Here is a preview of the kinda stuff we play and will be featuring in our first release, bare in mind these are the rough demos without vocals.. but gives u more of a taste of what we’re about and what we play live
Well, we haven’t posted anything up on here for a while, it is a blog site, so we may as well use it right!? We played our first show on the 20th of May and then another on the 22nd. The second show went down better than the first, with some nerves gone out the window and one gig’s worth of experience in the same venue only 2 days before. There were a few sound difficulties but the second show was way more comfortable and way tighter than the first.
The first gig we played seemed to go in slow motion, I was really nervous and was certain i was going to die from a heart attack. Relying on technology to play a part in the performance is quite nerve-wracking, you have to trust the laptop or backing track won’t just decide to stop working. The crowds weren’t exactly Madison Square Garden-esque, but it was the first time we’d played the tracks to anyone except Mike’s Mum. We’re really keen for more shows and we have one coming up on the 8th of September with Arkayan, Black Birds and The Scene and Herd at the Rosemount, a great venue with a great sound, which we are looking forward to, as we have some new tracks we’d like to bust out which feature more of an upbeat feel to add a bit more excitement and movement to the set. Hopefully we can get on some other lineups earlier though.
We are also about to record some sort of release, it will be a long term project but hopefully it will be out before the end of the year, we have a great vision and a lot of ambition to make it something creative and unique. We’re pretty excited about this recording which will begin this weekend..
